Mobile application development
Designing and building a mobile application aligned with the company's product vision
The service
Designing and steering the development of mobile applications, aligned with the company's product vision β whether building a new product or growing an existing one.
- Product design: defining features and user experience, aligned with the company's vision
- Steering the full development cycle (SDLC): task allocation and tracking, team coordination
- Managing the app's release and lifecycle (App Store, Google Play), and its relationship with users
The transferable principle
A successful mobile product isn't just about code: the value comes from discipline applied across the whole cycle β from features to the relationship with users β and from the ability to move a team forward, across language barriers.
Case study
Context
I led the mobile development team for a wallet already in production (iOS and Android), within a Web3 financial services company, with a cross-functional team of developers, analysts, QA, and designers.
The real problem
The application being built was a mobile financial product for a Web3 ecosystem: there was no established interface or user-experience standard to follow. Features had to be determined together with users and the community, based on what brought them the most value, and the design team had to be closely involved to deliver the best possible experience on a technology and an industry β DeFi β still under active construction.
The approach
Taking ownership of the full development cycle (SDLC): defining features by listening directly to users and the community, allocating and tracking tasks across an international team (English and Russian as working languages), working closely with the design team to build the best possible experience on a technology still under construction, managing releases on the App Store and Google Play Store, and managing communication with the app's users.
The result
175% growth in active users over the period following the product takeover, with more frequent releases and updates requested and validated directly by the user community.
